Service Overview

Joining the Army as an enlisted WAC in 1976 was one of the best decisions of my life. Through my 30 year career, I worked hard & took advantage of as many educational & professional opportunities as I could; started as a PV1 & retired as a LTC. Thank goodness there was educational opportunities; I was able to go through nursing school & even ended with a MSN--all paid for through the GI bill. After retiring from active duty I was hired by the VA to care for our veterans; finally retiring from nursing in 2018. Loving my retirement life now, and staying in touch with many many friends whom I met along the way as a woman veteran! God bless America!!
