Virtual Mental Health First Aid Training

March 31, 2022 @ 8:00 am - 4:00 pm

Free

“The next date for mental health first aid. It will be held virtually through zoom on Thursday March 31st starting at 9:00 AM CST and will end no later than 4:00 PM CST. The virtual class is 6 hours long but we tend to take breaks and a lunch depending on how the group flow goes.

Interested participants can email me at tanya.mac@metrocareservices.org or call at (214) 534-9212. There is about two hours of pre work that once the participant is signed up they will have to complete one week prior to the class start. It’s basic information on what they already know and a brief introduction to what they will be learning virtually in class on the 31st.

Details about the class: What is Mental Health First Aid?
Mental Health First Aid is a course that teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. The training gives you the skills you need to reach out and provide initial help and support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem or experiencing a crisis.”
