Service Overview

I am proud to be considered a USA woman veteran due mainly to my father! His service took my family around the world and back to Texas and I wanted to continue that track when I graduated from The University of Texas at Austin. When I was accepted to OCS after Basic Training at Ft. Dix, NJ, I was in Military Heaven!!! Unfortunately, my Military training came to a complete halt when I was injured during a Military Exercise at Ft. Benning, Ga. My injuries kept me from continuing on with my OCS class as I waited for the Veteran's Board to convene later that year. I was Honorably discharged.
