The bill amends the Transportation Code to require the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) to issue specialty license plates for recipients of the Defense Superior Service Medal and amends Transportation Code, Section 504.3015, to require one set of the new specialty license plate to be issued without payment of the vehicle registration fee.
