The national nonprofit Soldiers’ Angels is launching Operation: Warm Winter, an expanded winter clothing drive for homeless Veterans. New adult-sized coats and gloves and new blankets of all colors will be accepted from now through Sept. 30 to ensure homeless Veterans are prepared for the winter.

Donated items will be provided to Department of Veterans Affairs case managers who will distribute warm weather clothing and blankets throughout the country in areas of greatest need. The campaign offers several ways to contribute, including shopping for items in-person and online, making a blanket at home, or making a monetary donation to fund the shopping and distribution of winter gear to Veterans in need.
