O’Dark Thirty Breakfast

November 17, 2022 @ 7:30 am - 9:30 am

During National Military Family Month, I Care San Antonio will proudly celebrate their expanded veterans’ initiative; All Star Eye Care for Veterans and Their Families – dedicated to helping low-income and homeless veterans and their immediate family members access complete eye care including medical, surgical and optical …because when one member joins the military the whole family serves.
With support and an engaging message from keynote speaker, David L. Cook, Ph.D., I Care San Antonio will share it’s initiative to provide vision health equity to veteran families, addressing the critical need to further reduce coverage gaps for veterans and their families; ensuring healthcare equity to our most vulnerable veteran families while easing the financial burden and stress they endure when faced with military separation, civilian transition, and caregiver demands.

Dr. David Cook is a peak performance coach in the field of Sport and Performance Psychology. He served as “Mental Training Coach” for the San Antonio Spurs from 1996 – 2004 that included two World Championships. He has coached performers from the PGA, NBA, NFL, MLB, Olympics, and collegiate national championship ranks. His best-selling novel, Seven Days in Utopia: Golf’s Sacred Journey was made into a movie, starring academy award winners Robert Duvall and Melissa Leo.

I Care San Antonio, located at Haven for Hope, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and the leading charity vision center in San Antonio and the surrounding counties.
