Commissioner Barber salutes Combined Arms’ third anniversary

Texas Veterans Commission Secretary and U.S. Army veteran Kevin Barber joined the celebration of Combined Arms’ third anniversary on January 24, 2020. Pictured at the Combined Arms anniversary event are from left Barber, CEO of Combined Arms John Boerstler and Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner, who proclaimed it Combined Arms Day.

With its facility based in Houston, Combined Arms houses 72 agencies offering over 400 resources, including the Texas Veteran Commission (TVC). This umbrella of organizations provides assistance to the homeless, those needing financial assistance, mental heath services, employment services, mentorship and even a gym complete with weights and fitness machines. Beyond Houston, Combined Arms conducted veterans needs assessment surveys for other cities including Austin and El Paso.
