The Disabled American Veterans’ (DAV) honored Texas Veterans Commission (TVC) Employment Services’ Lee Ware as DAV’s 2021 Outstanding Local Veterans Employment Representative (LVER) and Tremayne “Trey” Hubbard as DAV 2021 Outstanding Disabled Veterans Outreach Program Specialist (DVOP). Over 1,290 veterans find jobs with TVC Employment Services

Texas Veterans Commission (TVC) Employment Services provided individualized career services to 2,369 veterans from July 2020 – June 2021. Of that, 1,294 found employment. Overall, throughout Texas, TVC’s Employment Services served 18,290 veterans in its past program year. This included job fairs, training and networking events.

From 0%-100% Claims compensation in 51 days

An Air Force veteran contacted the Texas Veterans Commission (TVC) Claims office on July 27, 2021 and had a 0% service-connected disability rating. Texas Legislature, Governor approve doubling Health Care Advocates to assist more veterans

The budget approved by the Texas Legislature and by Governor Greg Abbott included the Texas Veterans Commission’s (TVC) request to add 12 more Health Care Advocates (HCAs) in VA facilities to help resolve veterans’ health care questions and issues.

TVC HCAs advocate for individual veterans. They work with the veteran to resolve VA health care conflicts in areas such as doctor appointments, labs, testing, pharmacy assistance, getting outside referrals, and VA health care related billing.
