Texas Military Department

The Texas Military Department is composed of the three branches of the military in the state of Texas. These branches are the Texas Army National Guard, the Texas Air National Guard, and the Texas State Guard. All three branches are administered by the state Adjutant General, an appointee of the Governor of Texas, and fall under the command of the Governor.

Family Support Services

The Family Support Services Office of the Texas Military Department offers programs and service partnerships that are available to Texas service members, veterans, and families including: family and youth programs and retreats, resilience and suicide prevention, transition and employment assistance, mental health and counseling services, soldier support services, survivor outreach, and more.

Texas Skills to Work

The Texas Skills to Work tool helps transitioning service members translate their military experience into civilian terms or skill sets, and then provides matching job postings requiring those same skill sets.

Office of Public Utility Counsel Military Resources

The Office of Public Utility Counsel (OPUC) partners with Texas military installations and other governmental entities and service organizations to provide assistance to military personnel and their families who are shopping the electric market, locating local and statewide utility assistance, and employing energy efficiency and conservation measures around their homes.
