Workshops for veterans, their families & caregivers extends reach to connect with benefits

Connecting with veterans so that they receive the benefits they have earned is a priority to veteran service organizations. New Veterans Food Bank Foundation addresses food insecurity in Katy area

To address food insecurity of veterans and their families in Katy and the surrounding rural areas, Vietnam veteran Sheryll Jones started The Texas Veterans Food Bank Foundation. Employment Services connects with those in poverty & homeless in Dallas

When nonprofit Operation Care International held an annual event in Dallas to assist those in poverty and the homeless, the Texas Veterans Commission (TVC) Veteran Employment Services (VES) North Texas District Team and Woman Veterans Program joined this opportunity to connect with veterans.

The annual event, Christmas Gift held Dec 19, 2022, provided employment networking as well as financial, healthcare and housing assistance plus other services.
