Claims helps a WWII combat veteran’s disability rating & secures needed documents

Assisting a WWII combat veteran in the Rio Grand Valley with his disability rating and helping a Bryan-College Station veteran in urgent need of VA documentation are ways the Texas Veterans Commission (TVC) Claims put their teamwork and resourcefulness to work in July. Further, Texas Senator Jose Menedez congratulated and thanked the Claims Southwest District for their service to thousands of veterans in the San Antonio area.

Big ideas, start-ups, small businesses & social impact highlight upcoming Entrepreneur academies

The Big Ideas & Start-ups Entrepreneurship Academy, Small Business Academy and Social Impact Bootcamp are free, virtual, multi-week courses beginning August 24, 2020. Those interested must choose the course that best fits them and class size is limited. The courses are popular and Social Impact Bootcamp has already filled. They are sponsored by the Texas Veterans Commission Veteran Entrepreneur Program and are lead by business professionals. The instruction courses are four to six weeks in length.
