Texas Veterans Commission to host Veterans in Government Open House

AUSTIN, Texas – More than 40 state and local government agencies looking to hire veterans will be on hand at the Texas Veterans Commission’s Veterans in Government Open House at the Palmer Events Center, April 21.

HB 3710 raises $173K for Texas veterans

AUSTIN, Texas – Texans have donated more than $173,000 to support the Texas Veterans Commission Fund for Veterans’ Assistance since House Bill 3710 went into effect on Sept. 1, 2015.
Signed into law last June, H.B. 3710 added an option for individuals applying for or renewing a License to Carry a Handgun to make a voluntary contribution to the FVA, similar to the option already available for Texas driver licenses.
